AMSOIL Updates Diesel Fuel Additives with Latest Technology and New Packaging

AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean (ADF) and AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow (DFC) feature new formulations designed to clean both traditional injector deposits and the tough-to-remove deposits surfacing in modern high-pressure common-rail diesel engines. AMSOIL Diesel Cetane Boost (ACB) and AMSOIL Diesel Cold Flow (ACF) formulations remain unchanged. Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow I personally use this product during the winter months. I have never had a gelling problem when others that are parked next to me during the winter have completely gelled their fuel systems.

Helps Prevent Gelling As the temperature drops, the wax naturally found in diesel fuel begins to crystallize. The point at which wax crystals form is known as the cloud point. These wax crystals eventually clog the fuel filter and starve the engine of fuel, preventing it from starting. While low-quality fuels may form wax crystals in temperatures as warm as 40ºF (4ºC), most fuels have a cloud point near 32ºF (0ºC). The point at which the crystals clog the fuel filter is known as the cold filter-plugging point (CFPP). AMSOIL Diesel Injector Clean + Cold Flow lowers the CFPP by up to 20ºF (15ºC) in ULSD.
 
 
 
Diesel Cetane Boost I use this product whenever I am towing my horse trailer. I notice more power when using Cetane boost.

  1. Car fuel additives really improves the mileage and efficiency of engine is still a questionable topic because modern engine relies on on-board computer which works on themselves.Modern engines have very less linkage with chemistry going on in fuel.

  2. Thank you for your comment. I agree that the on board computers in modern vehicles optimizes fuel economy. It cannot however keep the fuel systems clean. I, nor AMSOIL condone the use of fuel additives in gasoline vehicles with every tank of fuel as a "miracle" fuel mileage increaser. The AMSOIL PI (Performance Improver) is used to clean the fuel system, which provides for optimum performance and efficiency which is what improves fuel mileage.
    I do recommend the use of fuel additives in diesel vehicles as it improves the efficiency of the fuel. Diesel fuel is inconsistent at best from supplier to supplier. My personal experience has shown that I get better fuel economy from different suppliers of diesel, based on their formulations. Also, Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel does not have the same energy and lubrication qualities as it diesel had prior to 2007.
    The use of AMSOIL motor oils and fuel additives has been documented to improved vehicle performance and fuel mileage. That being said, driving style has a huge impact on fuel mileage.
